Steamed Okra garnish with Garlic Sauce
We had home grown Okra (lady's fingers) in the past month, 3 Okra plants in all, these plants produced okras that we are unable to catch up to pluck them. The okras grow unbelievable fast. Some have even grown too old for us to eat them. In this recipe we are cooking the okra that we harvested right outside our kitchen door.

Lady's fingers with oyster sauce
Ingredients:
- 10 lady's fingers
- 2 gloves garlic (diced)
- 2 small red anions (diced)
- 2 tbs oyster sauce
- water
- Put the lady's finger into a soup pot cover with water and bring to boil till the lady's finger just cooked. Arrange on a plate. Set aside.
- In a frying pan, heat the oil and fry the garlic and red onions till fragrant and slightly brown. Pour on top of the cooked lady's fingers.
- Lastly, pour the oyster sauce on top. Serve.
Tip : Do not cut the lady's finger up for cooking. The sweetness will be retained this way.
