One of my favourite Fish cooking/ soup

This is one of my favourite fish soup with meehoon (rice vermicelli). I have strong crave for one when I was into my third day of Detoxification & Rejuvenation Program (DRP) which I chose to complete in 5 days.

I love the sourly taste of this fish recipe, yummylicious if dip in the mixture of calamansi juice (limau kasturi), light soy sauce and chillie padi.

You could find this at Bandaran Berjaya, Kota Kinabalu, for RM6-RM9.00 per bowl (USD2.00 - USD3.00).

Sweet & spicy sambal fish with eggs

This is one of the favourite Malay dishes in Malaysia, sweet & spicy sambal fish with eggs. It is best to be served with turmeric rice. Sister in law cooked both the fish and rice and share with us last weekend. This week she is going to cook fresh crabs and fishes which my brother bought from Kudat this morning. Very look forward to..

Meals on Dragon Boat Festival

We had a simple meals prepared just for the Duan Wu or Dragon Boat Festival on 28th May, also the 5th day in the 5th month of the Chinese lunar calendar.  The dishes were prepared by my brother's maid under the supervision of my mum.  I have had only a zongzi for lunch so I was pretty hungry and all ready for the dinner.
Fish with sweet and sour sauce but it was a bit overcooked on the black part.
boiled chicken (from the soup)
Bitter gourd with eggs.  Good for lowering blood sugar and with cooling properties.  I love bitter gourd, the bitter the better.
Mixed vegetable (green pepper, button mushroom, brocolli, and baby corns).  My mum forgot to sprinkle the cashew nuts on top to add flavour to this dish.  We had the cashew nut as dessert instead.
Fried chopped garlic in soy suace for dipping of boiled chicken.
